A Case of the Wonkys · Sep 13, 12:59 am by Rick
For anyone who is attempting to use the tag builder widget with the if_days04 plugin, its wonky, the slash in the trailing tag is backurds and they won’t go.
The tags work properly if the tags are set correctly, but the builder sets them wrong.
The result looks like “content <\ras_if_days_passed>”, if you care
to repair the plugin just change the slashes in the tag builder code; otherwise I wouldn’t try to use it as is.
I’ll get a good working copy up as soon as possible.

New things turning up on the radar:
Tags in development for the next version of TXP, I’m guessing we will see these in the 4.0.2 release.
Conditional tags:
<txp:if_different>###</txp:if_different>
<txp:if_first_article>###</txp:if_first_article>
<txp:if_last_article>###</txp:if_last_article>
New and updated:
<txp:section>
<txp:category>
Section isn’t new, but its gotten some new attributes, “name” and “wraptag” to be specific. The link and title attributes are still there and all the old options are still available.

On the plugin horizon – for you stats geeks:
Hit Logger and Viewer from Lee Stewart. Version 0.9.05 is available for download at Randomoddness, 0.9.06a and 0.9.06b are around for alpha testing, and the new features are very nice. If you like stats, you will like this one.

Ode de Fun :) Ode de Falter :( · Aug 20, 09:52 pm by Rick Silletti
The Textpattern Devs have unleased comments in Texpattern. All the normal default behaviors are there, but the new options have unleased some two edged potentials.
Two examples of what can be done.
Ode de Fun:
< txp:if_comments_disallowed id="3" >
< txp:comments id="3" form="special" / >
< /txp:if_comments_disallowed >
Will display the comments for article id 3 when that article is disabled for new comments, if available.
Ode de Falter:
< txp:if_comments_disallowed id="4" >
< txp:comments id="3" form="special" / >
< /txp:if_comments_disallowed >
Will display the comments for article id 3 when article id 4 is disabled for new comments, if available.
I believe both of these can be used in a column or page with the defined result. Obviously one must define those results carefully.
