Downloads Statistics plugin update · Aug 7, 07:16 pm by Rick
The original downloads statistics plugin is very old.
The updated version has all the options you would expect for TXP 4.0.3, better TXP integration, recently added attributes, and in general more options and a better help section.
Any feedback can be added as a comment to this article.

Hi,
I am trying to understand your plugin, and as far as I see there are four functions; txp:ras_downloads_tab, txp:ras_downloads_top, txp:ras_downloads_max, and txp:ras_downloads_total. But, because I am a newbie, I couldn’t figure the attributes of these functions out :)
I am particularly trying to display download statistics of “a specific single file” and “all files whitin a file category” on my template. Hoping that your plugin will be my salvation :)
Are there any documentations (manuals, guides etc.) available for usage of your plugin, that I can read and understand its features better? Anything you can point out will appreciated.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for troubling you with my newbie questions.
Ali.

From what you describe as your need I would try the file tags already built into TXP. Look at
Textbook Downlod Tags
For the tag definitions.
Download Statistics does have a help file included, if you still need more explanation feel free to drop me an e-mail.

I have tried txp download tags before searching for a plugin but I couldn’t make it :)
I have downloaded your plugin from here, via the download link you have provided above. Is there another source which is pointing a package that bundled with an help file?

There is a help page included with the plugin under the plugin tab inside TXP, it should make fairly clear sense of the included functions.
It has to be installed in Textpattern before that is available.

Well, I have just seen what you are trying to tell :) Plaese forgive me, somehow I’ve missed it.
Thank you very much for your patience.
