Textpattern 4.0.2 is on the tracks and rolling out in an estimated week.
enhancement list that I am aware of:
labaltag
some improved conditionals
some added conditionals
added attributes for image tags
preview and conditional preview tags
just to name a few.
Version 4.0.2 is going to break some things if they aren’t updated, or rather things built for 4.0.2 aren’t going to run under earlier versions. An example is anything built to use labaltag. This version is a step over and up from the 4.0.1 line and it will be noticed.
On an interesting note I noticed this when I posted this article.
(The same URL-only title is used by 2 different articles) in the textpattern prompts, I would be curious to know if that involves problems now, it never has before?

I have articles on my site that use the same title, and then generates the same URL-only title, every week. I get warnings that there are, for instance, 30 articles with the same URL-only title and have yet to see any problems with it. I guess as long as the message number is correct , the database can figure it out.

And there’s the difference. My URL’s use the message ID and aren’t URL-only titles which really should be called title-only URLs. If I click the permalink for this article I get the first on-the-radar article from Sept. instead of this one.

Thanks,I hadn’t noticed that. looks like time to investigate some.

I’m guessing that given two identical URL`s, the search query will select the first. Works fine given a unique ID. Wonder if this is sneaking up on anyone else?
